Adventures in the City

 

It's great to be a tourist in your own city sometimes, wandering around, walking about, snapping photos, just enjoying what's there in front of you. There are plenty of  wonderful places out there in the world of course, but we've got a nice little city right here in San Francisco.

Posting something a little different today. A small comic that was gestating in my head for a while now, and recently decided to come out. Partly inspired by Jillian Tamaki's advice about not worrying too much about the end result and to just run with it.

"Have you ever died in your dreams?" "Sometimes."

Things have been insane lately, earthquakes, tsunamis, the threat of nuclear meltdown. It's enough to shake a person to their bones. It feels strange that while all this chaos is going on, people are still living their lives fairly normally elsewhere, and i'm sketching away at a cafe. Your stability can be swept right from your feet but the world will still keep on rolling.

Overheard a hilarious conversation between a little girl and her cousin:

"Have you ever died in your dreams?"

"Sometimes."

"It's happened to me many times..."

And so the world keeps on rolling.
